Hi, I'm Emma from Value Hearing. Today I'm going to talk to you about another very common myth associated with hearing aids - that the more you pay for, the smaller the hearing aid.

This is thankfully, I believe a dying myth, but it has been known over the years that there are companies that encourage their clinicians to show their clients larger hearing aids when they're talking about more budget models and smaller hearing aids when they're talking about more expensive models in order to motivate you to spend more on a smaller device.

This is a big common misconception of clients, it's certainly no longer the case. Even the tiniest of hearing aids nowadays can be available at a very budget level and the more expensive ones can also be available in larger sizes depending on your needs and circumstances.

So don't believe that the more you pay the smaller the hearing aid or the less you pay, the larger the hearing aid.
